Offered is an 1882-S Morgan Silver Dollar, struck at the San Francisco Mint and certified by ICG as MS60 Details – Cleaned. Certification number 2138860220.

The obverse features George T. Morgan’s classic portrait of Lady Liberty surrounded by 13 stars and the inscription E PLURIBUS UNUM. The reverse displays the American eagle with outstretched wings, arrows and olive branch, surrounded by UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and ONE DOLLAR.

The “S” mintmark appears beneath the wreath on the reverse. The 1882-S had a mintage of approximately 9.25 million coins. Morgan dollars contain 90% silver, weigh 26.73 grams, and contain approximately 0.7734 troy oz. of actual silver.

This example retains strong detail and considerable remaining brilliance. ICG has assigned an MS60 Details designation with “Cleaned” noted on the holder. Because cleaning is considered a surface impairment, the coin should not be valued the same as a problem-free MS60 example from PCGS or NGC.

Coin pictured is the exact coin being offered. Please review photographs carefully for condition, surfaces and eye appeal. Certification and grade are those assigned by ICG; no additional grade is represented or guaranteed by the seller.
