Vintage Pre-2000 Andy’s Steak & Pizza Sandersville GA 912 Advertising Ashtray

Vintage advertising ashtray from Andy’s Steak & Pizza in Sandersville, Georgia, featuring the restaurant’s name along with:

“Sea Foods – Jake W. Sullivan III”
Sandersville, GA – (912) 552-5036

An especially interesting dating feature is the 912 area code. Sandersville was served by Georgia’s original 912 area code from 1954 until 2000, when the area was reassigned to the newly created 478 area code. Because this ashtray carries the restaurant’s Sandersville number with a 912 area code, it dates to no later than 2000, providing a useful historical marker for the piece.

Made in the USA, the underside is molded “DEEP-DISH ASH-TRAY.” The heavy black molded construction features a deep bowl with multiple cigarette rests and bold white restaurant advertising across the front.

Measures approximately 4 inches across and 2 inches tall.

Condition: Very good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and use. Lettering remains crisp, bold and easily readable. Please see photos for exact condition.

A terrific piece of Sandersville and Washington County history and an increasingly difficult type of survivor from the era when independently owned restaurants routinely used customized advertising ashtrays on their tables. Particularly appealing to collectors of Georgia advertising, vintage restaurant memorabilia, local history, tobacco collectibles and roadside Americana.
