Vintage Russian Khokhloma Hand-Painted Wooden Ladle & Tableware Set

Charming vintage Russian hand-painted wooden folk-art collection, featuring traditional Khokhloma-style decoration in rich gold, red, black and green tones.

The group includes a long-handled serving ladle, a distinctive bird-form handled bowl/dish, and a small cup, each decorated with stylized floral, leaf and feather motifs. The underside retains its original “MADE IN USSR” paper label, identifying the piece as Soviet-era production and dating it to 1991 or earlier. The label also appears to carry an article or production number.

The long ladle is especially striking, with a deep rounded bowl, painted floral interior and elongated decorative handle terminating in a dark hooked end. The bird-form piece has a wonderfully sculptural silhouette and detailed hand-painted plumage.

Constructed of turned and carved wood with lacquered painted surfaces. Vintage condition with visible age-related wear, including scattered finish loss, scratches, rubbing and areas of paint/lacquer wear, particularly along edges and handles. These imperfections are consistent with age and use and contribute to the authentic folk-art character. Please review photos closely for condition.
