Vintage Wooden Darning Mushroom / Sock Darner

Classic vintage wooden darning mushroom, traditionally used as a form for repairing holes in socks, stockings and other knitwear. Turned solid-wood construction with a rounded mushroom-shaped head and comfortable tapered handle. Measures approximately 3½ inches long with a head approximately 2¼ inches across. Displays an attractive aged patina with surface wear, scratches and handling marks consistent with years of practical use.
