1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar — NGC MS 60

Offered is an 1885-O Morgan Silver Dollar, struck at the historic New Orleans Mint and professionally certified and encapsulated by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company) as MS 60 Mint State.

Designed by George T. Morgan, the classic obverse features Lady Liberty surrounded by 13 stars with E PLURIBUS UNUM, while the reverse depicts the American eagle with outstretched wings, wreath, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – ONE DOLLAR. The “O” mintmark, located above the “DO” in DOLLAR, identifies production at the New Orleans Mint.

This example remains in uncirculated Mint State condition, with strong original detail and noticeable mint luster. As expected for the MS60 grade, contact/bag marks are present, particularly in the open fields and on Liberty’s cheek, but there is no circulation wear.
