1886 Morgan Silver Dollar — NGC MS63 — Attractive Toning
Offered is an 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar, professionally certified and encapsulated by NGC at MS63 (Mint State 63). Certification number 3776925-023.
This Philadelphia-minted Morgan displays strong remaining mint luster with attractive natural-looking peripheral toning, particularly noticeable in warm golden/amber shades around portions of the rims. The obverse shows Liberty with well-defined hair detail, while the reverse features the classic American eagle with wings spread within a wreath.
The toning gives this example considerably more character than a typical blast-white MS63 Morgan. As with any toned coin, color and intensity can appear somewhat different depending on lighting and viewing angle.
Coin Details: 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar • Philadelphia Mint (no mintmark) • NGC MS63 • 90% silver / 10% copper • 26.73 grams • 38.1 mm diameter • .7734 troy oz actual silver weight.
