1968 Grossmont District League Track Meet Class B 660 Relay 2nd Place Medal

Original 1968 high-school track and field award medal from the Grossmont District League of San Diego County, California. This attractive shield-form medal features a raised relay runner motif surrounded by black enamel lettering reading Grossmont District League Track Meet.

The reverse is stamped “2ND / CLASS B / 660 RELAY / 1968,” documenting a second-place finish in the Class B 660-yard relay.

Measures approximately 1¼ inches across, based on the quarter shown for scale. Displays an appealing aged silver-tone patina with normal surface wear, scratches and oxidation consistent with a nearly 60-year-old athletic award. Original suspension ring remains attached.

A great piece of 1960s Southern California high-school sports memorabilia, particularly appealing to collectors of Grossmont-area history, vintage track & field awards, or San Diego County memorabilia.
