Vintage 1937 Buffalo Nickel Coin Jewelry Set – Hand-Cut Cufflinks, Tie Tack & Pendant – Americana
A distinctive vintage Buffalo Nickel coin jewelry collection, featuring classic American coinage transformed into wearable accessories.
The group includes a pair of hand-cut Buffalo Nickel cufflinks, with the surrounding coin field carefully removed to leave the American bison in relief within the original circular rim. Also included is a matching hand-cut Indian Head tie tack/lapel pin with safety chain, showcasing the iconic Native American profile from the obverse of the Buffalo Nickel.
Completing the group is a 1937 Buffalo Nickel pendant, retaining the full obverse of the coin with the Native American portrait, LIBERTY and clearly visible 1937 date, mounted in a round bezel with pendant bail.
The Buffalo Nickel, designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser, was issued from 1913 through 1938, making these pieces particularly appealing to collectors of U.S. coin jewelry, Western Americana and vintage men’s accessories. Comparable vintage pieces are documented as being individually hand-cut from genuine Buffalo nickels.
All pieces show expected surface wear and patina consistent with circulated coins and vintage use.
