Vintage 1971–73 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Wheel Cover Center Medallion Emblem – 2.5”

Original vintage Mercury Cougar XR-7 wheel-cover center medallion dating to the 1971–1973 model years. This approximately 2½-inch diameter clear plastic emblem features the iconic running Cougar over the XR7 shield, surrounded by a brilliant red field, black “MERCURY COUGAR” border and silver-tone laurel decoration.

The graphics are applied from the reverse side of the clear medallion, which is why the lettering appears reversed when viewed from the back.

Originally used in the center of the 1971–73 Cougar XR-7 wheel cover, making this an excellent original replacement piece or display collectible for the Mercury Cougar enthusiast.

Shows expected vintage wear including surface scratches, fading, discoloration and deterioration to portions of the reverse-applied decoration. Overall graphics remain attractive and easily recognizable. Please review photos carefully for condition.
