Vintage Wooden Darning Mushroom / Sock Darner

Vintage solid wood darning mushroom, traditionally used as a form for repairing holes in socks and other knitted garments. Features a smooth rounded working surface with a comfortable turned wooden handle. Measures approximately 4” tall with a 3” diameter head. Shows attractive age-related wear, surface marks and patina consistent with years of practical use. A charming piece of vintage sewing history, equally suited for display in a sewing collection or continued use.
